My name is Gail Koop. After a poetry reading, people asked if I had a website where they could find more of my poetry. At the time I didn't. A few months before that, I had asked God what He wanted me to do with my poetry and writing. This site is the result of those questions, and I appreciate your visit.
I've been writing all of my life. Every professional job I've held involved writing, whether it was communications, marketing or technical manuals. After I was downsized out of my last position, I was able to devote more time to the passion that God has placed in my heart. And now that I'm a Bible-believing Christian, everything that I write is framed by the Word of God, of which I cannot get enough!
I'm married to the sweetest, smartest, most supportive husband in the world, and we've been blessed with a very special, beautiful-inside-and-out daughter, Sarah. She has her Masters in Music Performance, and has a much more sophisticated website than her mother: http://www.sarahkoop.com. I have two wonderful stepchildren and three unbelievably delicious granddaughters. And I am very blessed and honored to serve as a Deaconess at my church, Hampton Bays Assembly of God.
I've had short stories and poetry published, and helped a friend write and publish her memoir. I've just completed a book, Broken Land: God's Message in a Bottle, which is an exposition of our nation's moral decline, with a call to return to biblical values. The Lord God has given me more than I could ever have asked or imagined (Ephesians 3:20). So in return, I hope to use this site to glorify Him, to thank Him, and hopefully and prayerfully, introduce those who do not know Him or who don't believe they can, to the One who has transformed me from the inside out.
